140 Years of History, Passion, and Wine<\/h2>\n

On Monday, June 9, 2025<\/strong>, our General Manager Javier Gand\u00eda<\/strong> was the guest on the program ‘Stay with El GastroTurista’<\/strong> by \u00c0 Punt Radiotelevisi\u00f3 Valenciana<\/strong>, hosted by Vicent Gil Espert<\/strong>. An interview that allowed us to proudly share the history, evolution, and future vision of Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda<\/strong>, right in the year we celebrate our 140th anniversary<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Our story began in 1885<\/strong> on Maderas Street in Valencia, near the port. Since then, we have witnessed complex historical moments: wars, economic crises, social and technological changes. But we have also known how to adapt, grow, and evolve. Today, under the leadership of the fourth generation of the Gand\u00eda family<\/strong>, we remain true to our values: quality, innovation, sustainability, and commitment to our land. <\/p>\n

Castillo de Liria: A Milestone for Valencian Wine<\/h3>\n

One of the most memorable moments of the interview was the recollection of the launch of Castillo de Liria<\/strong> in 1971<\/strong>, the first wine to be commercially bottled by a Valencian winery. This wine marked a turning point in the history of wine in the Valencian Community and, more than 50 years later, it remains one of our most iconic brands. <\/p>\n

Javier spoke about what we are most passionate about: wine. About our native grape varieties, the value of the Valencian terroir, and how each bottle tells a story. For us, wine is not just a drink \u2014 it is culture, it is land, it is emotion. And that is what we strive to convey in every visit, every tasting, every glass. <\/p>\n

Internationalization with Local Roots<\/h3>\n

During the conversation, Javier Gand\u00eda highlighted how the winery has managed to expand internationally without losing its essence. Today, we export our wines to more than 90 countries<\/strong>, bringing the Mediterranean flavor to every corner of the world. This expansion has been made possible thanks to a strategy based on quality, differentiation, and innovation. <\/p>\n

Sustainability: A Commitment to the Future<\/h3>\n

Another key pillar of our philosophy is sustainability. In the interview, Javier explained how we have implemented responsible practices at every level: from efficient use of water and energy, to the eco-design of our packaging and the recovery of traditional grape varieties. In addition, we are certified as Wineries for Climate Protection<\/strong><\/a>, which recognizes us as an environmentally sustainable winery, promoted by the Spanish Wine Federation. <\/p>\n
