In a world where sustainability has become a key pillar for business development, Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda<\/strong> has been honored for its strong commitment to the environment, innovation and its identity as a family-run company. The recognition, awarded by the specialized media outlet Econom\u00eda 3<\/a><\/strong> in the Sustainability<\/em> category, took place during the 34th Econom\u00eda 3 Awards Gala on Monday, November 10<\/strong>, 2025, at the prestigious Mar Rojo Auditorium<\/strong> in Valencia\u2019s Oceanogr\u00e0fic<\/strong>, in a ceremony that brought together leading figures from the Valencian business community.<\/p>\n

A recognition rooted in commitment<\/h3>\n

The award was received by Javier Gand\u00eda<\/strong>, CEO of Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda. In his speech, he shared a revealing insight: \u201cWe had been innovating for decades, although we weren\u2019t fully aware of it. We practiced responsible viticulture, but we didn\u2019t measure what we were doing, and therefore, we couldn\u2019t improve.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This turning point came four years ago, when the winery decided to professionalize its sustainability strategy<\/strong> by creating a dedicated department. Since then, measurement, analysis and continuous improvement have become essential parts of the company\u2019s DNA.<\/p>\n

IMPULSE Program: People, Planet and Product<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Sustainability at Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda<\/strong> is not a one-off action, but a cross-cutting strategy structured through the IMPULSE<\/strong><\/a> program, designed to integrate environmental, social and economic responsibility across all areas of the company. The program is built around three core pillars:<\/div>\n

  • People: <\/strong>We view sustainability as a commitment to society and our stakeholders. We work to meet their expectations in areas such as equality, employment, safety and social well-being. We promote continuous training, inclusion and strategic partnerships that help us achieve shared goals.<\/li>\n
  • Planet:<\/strong> We identify our environmental aspects and their interaction with the surroundings to establish mechanisms that prevent pollution and protect the environment. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and improving the efficiency of non-renewable resource use, incorporating clean energy and collaborating with environmental initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Product:<\/strong> We embrace innovation and creativity as drivers of adaptation to the global context. This allows us to grow in new markets and strengthen our presence in existing ones, offering high-quality products that generate prosperity and economic growth.     Som Albufera: social responsibility rooted in Valencian heritage<\/h3>\n
    \n

    One of Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda\u2019s most meaningful projects is Som Albufera, its Corporate Social Responsibility plan, created to preserve and promote the environmental, cultural and gastronomic values of the L\u2019Albufera Natural Park, a site of great ecological importance in the Valencian Community.<\/p>\n

    Through this initiative, the winery collaborates with organizations such as the Fundaci\u00f3 Assut, supporting the conservation of natural and cultural heritage and producing educational content about traditional rice cultivation\u2014an essential element of Valencian identity.<\/p>\n

    Som Albufera also promotes local gastronomy by sponsoring events such as the International Paella Valenciana Contest in Sueca and the World Paella Day, strengthening the connection between our wines and traditional cuisine. Additionally, it encourages healthy living through sponsorship of the Circuit Solidari Parc Natural de l\u2019Albufera, which brings together thousands of runners in popular races held in this natural setting.<\/p>\n
