To mark March 8th, International Women’s Day<\/strong>, we want to share a very relevant fact about the evolution of our workforce: in recent years, the female presence<\/strong> at Vicente Gand\u00eda has gone from 15% in 2020 to 28% in March<\/strong> 2026.<\/p>\n

This important and progressive advance reflects the company’s commitment to equal opportunities and the implementation of policies that promote greater representation and participation of women in all areas.<\/p>\n

On this 8M we reaffirm our purpose: to continue building a more balanced, diverse and inclusive organization<\/strong> and to continue working so that women and men can develop professionally under equal conditions.<\/p>\n

Likewise, we wanted to pay tribute to all the female staff by giving voice to three women who represent different stages within our organization: experience, the present and the future.<\/p>\n

The present: values, culture and commitment<\/h3>\n

From her dual role as part of the family and a daily worker alongside the team, Silvia Gandia experiences the company with pride: \u201cThe company\u2019s greatest achievements are demonstrated through daily effort and hard work. It fills me with joy to see the sense of belonging and community that exists.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Regarding equality, one clear advance stands out: \u201cThe increase in women on the management committee and in middle management.\u201d<\/em>
\nIn her family, equality has always been a natural value: \u201cWe have all been given the same opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

She is clear about the role family businesses should play: \u201cThey should lead the way in equality and work-life balance, being proactive in implementing measures.\u201d<\/em>
\nAnd when she thinks about how she would like the work of women at Vicente Gand\u00eda to be remembered, she sums it up like this: \u201cThe same as men\u2019s, based on their merit and talent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The experience: growing professionally alongside Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda<\/h3>\n

For Raquel S\u00e1nchez, the woman with the longest tenure at the company, March 8th is a particularly emotional day: “It is a day in which we give visibility to the evolution that women have undergone throughout history.”<\/em><\/p>\n

She started at Bodegas Vicente Gand\u00eda very young, nervous, but full of enthusiasm. In those early years, the female presence was small and mainly concentrated in the administrative area. Today, her gaze reflects with pride the progress made: \u201cNow there are women in almost every department: operators, line managers, technicians, winemakers, forklift operators, supervisors and department directors\u2026 we only have the maintenance area left.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n

His career path is marked by continuous learning. He arrived with no knowledge of the wine world and decided to train himself until he completed a master’s degree in Oenology, with the opportunity to work in both of the company’s laboratories: “I have learned the entire process, from the moment the grapes are crushed until that wine ends up in a bottle in perfect condition.”<\/em> <\/p>\n

When she thinks about role models, she’s clear: her mother, whom she describes as a true superwoman. She conveys a direct message to the women of VG: \u201cWe are all valuable and essential. Even though we have different points of view, we are a team.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n

Tamara Mart\u00ednez<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The future: hope, courage, and a desire to grow<\/h3>\n

For Tamara Mart\u00ednez, the woman with the least seniority at the company, March 8th is a day for reflection and advocacy: “It is a day to promote equality between men and women and to remember how important, brave, and strong we are.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Her role models begin at home, with a mother who taught her that she had no limits, and continue with women who have shaped the history of their communities through their activism and social commitment.
\nHer connection to Vicente Gand\u00eda dates back to childhood, when she dreamed of working for the company. Today, she particularly highlights the warm welcome she received from day one and the support of the entire team. <\/p>\n

Their vision is clear: \u201cWe are fighters, persistent, and have no limits to our learning.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

And her advice to other women is emphatic: \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid or limit yourselves. Believe in yourselves, be brave, and be proud of having given it your all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

One message: Three women, three generations, and one conclusion: equality is built every day, recognizing talent, offering real opportunities, and moving forward as a team.<\/strong><\/p>\n
