The Valencian winery announces the release of Nebla Mencía, a new wine that pays tribute to the richness of the Bierzo region’s winemaking traditions.
Nebla Mencía is an exceptional addition to the Nebla family, a collection of wines that expresses the character of diverse regions. Made with the Mencía variety, an emblematic grape of the Bierzo region, this wine stands out for its freshness, aromatic intensity, and elegance. The fantastic combination of cool night temperatures, morning fog, and midday sun make wines grown in these areas exceptional. With notes of red fruits, subtle floral nuances, and a mineral touch characteristic of the Bierzo terroir, Nebla Mencía offers a unique experience for wine lovers.
“With Nebla Mencía, we wanted to capture the essence of this very special region. The Mencía variety is a variety with a great personality, and in this wine we achieve a perfect balance between tradition and modernity,” says winemaker Diego Morcillo, technical director of Bodegas Vicente Gandía.
The release of Nebla Mencía reinforces the winery’s commitment to producing high-quality wines, focusing on wine-growing regions with their own unique identity and respecting the authenticity of each variety. The protected geographical indication (IGP) “Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León” guarantees the highest quality throughout the winemaking process from the very beginning. This also allows bottling process to take place at the Chiva winery, following the demanding quality standards of Bodegas Vicente Gandía.
Founded in 1885, Bodegas Vicente Gandía is one of the most important family wineries in Spain, with a presence in more than 90 countries. Throughout its 140-year history, it has combined innovation and tradition to offer high-quality wines, reflecting the diversity and richness of Spanish appellations of origin.
