We live in a moment of particular uncertainty and volatility, with a global situation that has repercussions in many areas, such as the economy, energy supply and supplies, or the effects of climate change. This implies a series of risks for our activity, which we must transform into opportunities that allow us to be resilient in the near future.
For this reason, we have developed our first Sustainability Report. Do you want to see it? Click here
WHAT SUSTAINABILITY MEANS TO VICENTE GANDIA
At Bodegas Vicente Gandía, we know that organisations’ sustainability is key to their growth and prosperity. That’s why we’ve developed a sustainability plan as part of the IMPULSE Programme that promotes the following core areas:

- PEOPLE: : understanding society and our stakeholders and being able to meet their expectations and requirements in terms of issues such as equality, employment, safety and social welfare, creating partnerships to achieve our goals.
- PLANET: identifying our environmental dimensions and their interaction with the surrounding area in order to establish mechanisms to prevent pollution and protect the environment, committing to reducing our carbon footprint and using non-renewable resources efficiently.
- PRODUCTS: using innovation and creativity as a lever for adapting to the new situation, allowing us to continue growing in new markets and consolidating our position in existing ones with quality products, generating prosperity and economic growth.
At Vicente Gandía Pla, we share the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for transforming our world and we advocate human rights, labour standards, non-discrimination, the eradication of child labour, the protection of our environment and the fight against corruption. That’s why we’ve aligned our Sustainability Plan with the SDGs and are setting goals and targets to achieve them.

PEOPLE

We identify our stakeholders, those who can significantly affect, and whose actions may impact, our ability to successfully implement our strategy and achieve our goals.
This allows us to identify and meet their requirements and expectations, as well as to establish the relevant partnerships and connections in order to achieve shared goals on the road to continuous improvement and the sustainability of our organisation.
We have a code of ethics and pass social audits that assess our level of compliance with the ETI (Ethical Trade Initiative) Code of Ethics and the additional requirements included in the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) guide.

Planet
At Vicente Gandía we are firmly committed to protecting the environment and work to ensure that our wines are the result of sustainable practices at all points in their life cycle. To this end, we implement sound environmental practices and mechanisms that ensure appropriate control over the use of natural resources, ancillary materials and energy sources involved in all the processes of developing, making and bottling wine and sparkling wine.
We are ISO 14001 certified. This international standard aims to provide organisations with a framework for protecting the environment and responding to changing environmental conditions. Click here

We have defined a plan to reduce our carbon footprint, registered in the Registry of carbon footprint, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. Click here.
We develop awareness, training and awareness campaigns to get the involvement of the staff and we involve our stakeholders in the achievement of our environmental objectives.
