Continental climate with Mediterranean influence, strictly dry land, and wide temperature range. The Clos de Gallur estate is located in the municipality of Caudete, 600m above sea level, and is within the most inland areas of the so-called “Valencian Tuscany” where rainfall is even scarcer, giving wines of unusual concentration. The municipality of Caudete belongs today to the province of Albacete, but historically it belonged to the Kingdom of Valencia. After the War of Succession in 1707, Caudete was declared in rebellion and annexed to the Crown of Castile. Due to its location within the “Vall dels Alforins” and its historical character, the Finca Casa Gallur is an exceptional estate where wines with the Protected Designation of Origin Valencia can be produced.
