The 2025 harvest has come to an end, marking the close of a viticultural cycle that leaves us with high expectations for the quality of our wines. This year, shaped by very particular weather conditions, has been thoroughly analyzed by our Technical Director, Diego Morcillo, who offers an expert perspective on the evolution of the vineyard, the quality of the grapes, and the potential of the wines to come.
A Balanced and Favorable Climate Year
According to Diego Morcillo, 2025 has been “a very interesting year from a climatic point of view.” Rainfall was present throughout the different seasons, which helped develop a vigorous leaf canopy and a well-balanced vine. This healthy vegetative growth was key to ensuring proper fruit ripening.
During August and September, the absence of rain played a decisive role. Although this led to a slight reduction in yield—since the grapes didn’t swell as much as in wetter years—it ensured perfect vineyard health. “The concentration we’ve achieved is truly remarkable,” says Morcillo, which promises wines of great intensity and quality.
Wines with Great Aging Potential
The 2025 harvest is defined by a high concentration of sugars, polyphenols, and aromas, resulting in wines with body, structure, and excellent aging capacity.

Red wines: Diego highlights that “we’re going to obtain concentrated wines with excellent ripeness,” ideal for barrel aging and later bottle aging. This will especially benefit labels such as Hoya de Cadenas Reserva Tempranillo.

White and rosé wines: The harvest has also been “very interesting” for these varieties. The health and ripeness of the grapes will allow us to produce fruity, fresh wines with a highly expressive bouquet.

“The 2025 vintage is going to be one of the best in recent years,” assures Diego Morcillo. The combination of climatic factors, technical work in the vineyard, and the winemaking expertise of our team allows us to look to the future with optimism. This harvest will be key to strengthening the prestige of our brands and continuing to offer wines that reflect the essence of our land and our commitment to quality.
