El Miracle 120 Aniversario and Ceramic Monastrell launch in 1.5-litre Magnum format

Some celebrations call for something different. A table surrounded by friends, a family lunch that lingers on, an anniversary, a special gift, or simply an occasion when we want to enjoy wine in a different way.

At Vicente Gandía, we believe those moments deserve special bottles too. That is why we are delighted to share some exciting news: El Miracle 120 Aniversario and Ceramic Monastrell are now available in a 1.5-litre Magnum format.

Two wines with distinctive personalities, two different ways of interpreting grape varieties that are deeply connected to our land, and now one spectacular format designed for sharing, celebrating and enjoying wine on a grander scale.

Because a bottle of wine can be part of a celebration. But a Magnum can become the true centrepiece of the table.

What is a Magnum bottle and why is it so special?

A Magnum bottle contains 1.5 litres of wine, the equivalent of two standard 75 cl bottles. Thanks to its size and presence, this format has become a true symbol of celebration and is especially popular in restaurants, at events, large gatherings and special occasions.

Its appeal, however, goes far beyond aesthetics. A Magnum bottle offers a different ratio between the volume of wine and the amount of air beneath the closure. In general terms, this can encourage a slower evolution of the wine than in smaller formats, provided that it is stored under suitable conditions.

For this reason, larger bottle formats have traditionally been appreciated for certain wines intended for longer ageing, as they can contribute to a slower and more gradual maturation, allowing aromas, structure and texture to develop progressively over time.

There is also another undeniable advantage: a Magnum is made for sharing. With 1.5 litres of wine, it is the perfect format for bringing several guests together around the same bottle and making the act of serving the wine part of the celebration itself.

Its presence, generous capacity and distinctive ageing potential make the Magnum an especially appealing format for wine lovers, restaurants, gifts and memorable occasions.

El Miracle 120 Aniversario Magnum: 120 years of history in a 1.5-litre bottle

El Miracle 120 Aniversario Magnum is a red wine from the DOP Utiel-Requena, made from Tempranillo and Shiraz and now presented in a 1.5-litre Magnum format.

It was created to commemorate 120 years of winemaking expertise and to celebrate the miracle of transforming grapes into wine. Deeply connected to our history, this wine now gains even greater presence in its new Magnum format.

During the winemaking process, each grape variety is vinified separately. We carry out a 15-day maceration in contact with the grape skins, followed by fermentation at 28ºC. Malolactic fermentation then takes place, before the wine undergoes a natural settling of the lees for three months.

In the glass, it displays an intense cherry colour with violet hues. On the nose, aromas of black fruit come through alongside spicy notes and hints of black olive, characteristic of the Shiraz variety.

On the palate, it has good structure, with well-integrated toasted oak notes and a fresh, elegant finish in which flavours reminiscent of fruit preserve stand out.

Its new Magnum format enhances its presence at the table and makes it an especially attractive choice for meals, celebrations and occasions when we want to share a wine with history..

Ceramic Monastrell Magnum: the full personality of Monastrell

Ceramic Monastrell Magnum is a red wine from the DOP Alicante, made from Monastrell grapes from old, strictly dry-farmed vines, and now also available in a 1.5-litre Magnum format.

Its name comes from the Ancient Greek term keramiké, meaning “made of clay”, and refers to one of the most distinctive aspects of its production: ageing in clay amphorae.

This process brings together Mediterranean winemaking tradition and a contemporary approach to wine, respecting the personality of Monastrell while giving Ceramic a highly distinctive identity.

In appearance, it shows an intense, dark red colour with bright highlights. On the nose, ripe plum and liquorice aromas stand out, accompanied by notes of coconut and vanilla.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with sweet tannins, elegant acidity and a lingering impression of very ripe red fruit.

The personality of Monastrell, its distinctive winemaking process and the visual impact of the Magnum format make Ceramic an ideal choice for sharing, gifting or enjoying on special occasions, especially when we are looking for a wine with a pronounced Mediterranean character.
