The Valencian winery once again conquers Japan in one of its most representative competitions
The Japan Women’s Wine Awards contest has three main objectives: to select wines to accompany Japanese cuisine, to increase the annual consumption of wine in Japan to 5 liters/person, and to expand opportunities for women in the wine industry.
This contest has been held in Japan since 2014 with a jury made up exclusively of women. These awards are chaired by Yumi Tanabe, writer, educator, winemaker and today one of the most influential figures on the wine scene. Sommeliers, producers, teachers, journalists, importers, distributors and commercials, all of them professionals active in the wine industry, are in charge of choosing the winners in a blind tasting. These awards are given annually by the Japanese Wine Women’s Association.
Finca del Mar Cava Brut Rosé has received a Double Gold Medal. Pale pink in colour with lively bubbles. Fragrant on the nose with aromas of red fruits. Full in body, the bubbles explode in the mouth with a crunchy sensation leaving a long finish reminiscent of wild strawberries.
In addition, 9 more wines from Bodegas Vicente Gandia have received a Gold Medal: El Miracle Cava Brut Organic, Marqués de Chivé Cava Brut, Nebla Verdejo, Finca del Mar Cava Brut, El Miracle N3, Nebla Garnacha, Finca del Mar Verdejo, Nebla Verdejo Rosé and El Miracle Cava Brut.
All these awards are added to the long list of awards that the winery has and also augurs very good results for the Valencian winery in the Asian markets.
