Vicente Gandía presents BO Bobal Único Blanc de Noirs

The Valencian winery continues to bet on the Bobal variety and makes it one of its hallmarks.
Vicente Gandía was one of the pioneering wineries to bet on Bobal, the dominant grape variety in the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin and one of the most extensively cultivated in Spain, only surpassed by the red variety Tempranillo. Back in 2010, the winery launched BO Bobal Único red wine onto the market, one of the first quality wines made 100% with this variety. A clear and decisive commitment to this grape that had traditionally been used to improve wines from other areas due to its high concentration of colour and that Bodegas Vicente Gandía knew how to value through this production.
BO now complements the family of wines with a new travelling companion, a white Bobal Único. This is a Blanc de Noirs, a white wine made from 100% Bobal, a variety of red grapes with white pulp. The Blanc de Noirs technique, which literally means white from black in French, is a practice that historically began to be used in the northeast of France, specifically in the Champagne-Ardenne region.
Bo “Bobal Único-Blanc de Noirs” stands out for its bright pale yellow color, on the nose it releases aromas reminiscent of tropical fruits and apricots with a hint of plum. On the palate it is fresh and creamy, with a lot of body and a very pleasant aftertaste. A premium 100% Bobal white that leaves no one indifferent.
Bodegas Vicente Gandía continues to bet on innovation and the experience accumulated throughout its 140 years of history to create new wines that help to continue to better position the winery. Its technical director Diego Morcillo, recently named best European winemaker, leads the winemaking project of Bodegas Vicente Gandía. A project that continues to grow and contributes more and more value to Valencian wines.
