Bodegas Vicente Gandía and Surg For All Celebrate a Partnership Event with Leading Valencian Entrepreneurs

At Bodegas Vicente Gandía, we have always understood wine as something more than just a product. For us, it is a way of connecting with people, with the land, and with everything that truly matters. That is why initiatives like the one we recently experienced at our Finca Hoya de Cadenas hold a very special meaning in the way we see the world.

On this occasion, we had the pleasure of hosting a partnership event together with the NGO Surg For All, bringing together various Valencian entrepreneurs with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences, and, above all, social commitment. It was a gathering where wine served as a unifying element, but where the real protagonist was solidarity.

An experience that connects wine and values

From the very beginning, we wanted attendees to enjoy a complete experience. We guided them through our vineyards and facilities, showing not only how we produce our wines, but also the philosophy behind each bottle.

During the visit, we shared some of our most representative wines, such as Clos de Gallur Black, Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc, and Vicente Gandía Bobal Brut. Each one reflects a part of our identity and our commitment to quality, while also helping to create a warm and open environment for dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Discovering the impact of Surg For All

One of the most inspiring moments of the day was learning in depth about the work of Surg For All. Since 2015, this organization has been actively working to improve healthcare in countries with limited resources by developing projects that not only address immediate needs, but also aim for long-term sustainable solutions.

Over the years, they have worked in several African countries such as Liberia, Cameroon, and Tanzania, collaborating with local hospitals and training healthcare professionals to strengthen their capabilities. Hearing firsthand about their experience and growth allowed us to understand the scale of their impact and the importance of continuing to support initiatives like this.

During the event, we also learned about one of the NGO’s most ambitious current projects: the construction and development of the first Urology Department in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia. This initiative, led by Dr. José Rubio Briones, Head of the Urology Department at Hospital Vithas 9 de Octubre and President of Surg For All, aims to significantly improve specialized healthcare in the country. The project will facilitate access to urological treatments for thousands of patients and contribute to the training of local healthcare professionals. It includes both the creation of the necessary infrastructure and the provision of medical equipment, as well as staff training, ensuring its long-term sustainability. Initiatives like this perfectly reflect the type of impact we believe should be promoted — projects that transform realities and create opportunities where they are most needed.

Our commitment as a winery

At Bodegas Vicente Gandía, we reaffirm at every step our commitment to corporate social responsibility and to initiatives capable of generating a positive and lasting impact on the most vulnerable communities. Our collaboration with Surg For All is part of this vision and fits naturally within our sustainability strategy, alongside other projects we currently support, such as “Som Albufera”, an initiative focused on the conservation and promotion of one of the most emblematic natural spaces in the Valencian Communit

Hosting this event at our Finca Hoya de Cadenas also allowed us to highlight the importance of building bridges between the business world and the non-profit sector. We firmly believe that these kinds of alliances are key to driving transformative projects and generating real impact in society.

During the day, participating entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn about our facilities and experience firsthand the essence of our winery, while also enjoying a networking experience that encouraged the exchange of ideas and the exploration of new ways to collaborate with Surg For All. All of this helps strengthen the organization’s support network and continue promoting its international projects.

Looking ahead

This event has been, for us, a reaffirmation of what we want to be as a winery. We do not just make wine; we work to create connections, promote values, and play an active role in positive change.

We will continue to support initiatives that allow us to grow as a company while also contributing to the well-being of society and the environment around us. Because we are convinced that the true value of wine lies in everything it is capable of bringing together.
