Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc, from Bodegas Vicente Gandía, chosen as the Best Wine of the Valencian Community

In the latest edition of the XI Official Wine Competition of the Valencian Community, organized by PROAVA (Promotion of Quality Agri-food of the Valencian Community), the winery has been distinguished with three important medals, among which the Grand Gold Medal stands out for Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc, the highest distinction of the contest, which recognizes it as the best wine of the Valencian Community.

A competition that highlights the excellence of Valencian winemaking

The Official Wine Competition of the Valencian Community, organized by PROAVA (Valencian Community’s Quality Agri-food Promotion Agency), is one of the most important events in the region’s wine sector. This competition aims to promote and enhance the prestige of wines produced in the Valencian Community, bringing them closer to both consumers and professionals.

This year’s competition featured a rigorous blind tasting process, led by José Vicente Guillem, in which a panel of over 40 experts—sommeliers, winemakers, and restaurateurs—evaluated 350 samples from wineries in Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia. Winning an award in this context is an undeniable endorsement of quality, and achieving the Great Gold Medal is a recognition reserved only for exceptional wines.

Three award-winning wines that reflect our philosophy

In this edition of the competition, Bodegas Vicente Gandía has been recognized with three important awards, which reflect the diversity, personality and quality of our wines:
Each of these wines represents a different way of understanding wine, but they all share the same goal: to offer the best expression of each variety and of our territory.

Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc: the best wine from the Valencian Community

The Grand Gold Medal awarded to Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc eis undoubtedly one of the most special accolades we have received. This white wine has been recognized as the best wine in the Valencian Community, solidifying its position as one of our winery’s flagship wines.

A Sauvignon Blanc with its own identity

Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that stands out for its vibrant and elegant aromatic profile. Made from carefully selected Sauvignon Blanc grapes, it offers citrus, tropical, and herbaceous notes on the nose, while on the palate it is fresh, balanced, and with a marked varietal expression.

Its unique personality is the result of meticulous craftsmanship and our commitment to techniques that add complexity and character to the wine, while always maintaining the freshness and authenticity of the varietal. This excellence has been recognized by the competition’s jury, awarding it the highest distinction of the event.

Vicente Gandía Bobal Brut: the elegance of Bobal in a sparkling version

Our Vicente Gandía Bobal Brut, awarded a Gold Medal, is a Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine made from the native Bobal variety, a grape deeply linked to our history and to the D.O. Utiel-Requena.

This is a fresh and elegant sparkling wine, with fine bubbles, aromas of red fruits and a perfect balance between acidity and smoothness, making it an ideal choice for both special celebrations and to accompany haute cuisine.

Ceramic Monastrell Rosé: Mediterranean character and freshness

Ceramic Monastrell Rosé, also awarded a Gold Medal, is a rosé that perfectly expresses the richness and personality of the Monastrell variety.

On the nose, it offers intense aromas of red fruit, accompanied by delicate floral nuances. On the palate, it is ample, refreshing, and persistent, displaying a gastronomic character that makes it a very versatile and easy-to-enjoy wine.

Tradition, innovation and respect for origin

These accolades are the result of consistent work and a clear philosophy: combining tradition and innovation to create wines of the highest quality. At Bodegas Vicente Gandía, we remain committed to native grape varieties, expressing the terroir, and employing winemaking techniques that allow us to continue evolving without losing our essence.

The Ceramic range is a clear example of this vision: wines with their own identity, careful production and a strong connection with Mediterranean and Valencian culture.
