THE ICONIC VALENCIAN CEREMONIA RESERVA DE AUTOR REVEALS ITS NEW IMAGE
Bodegas Vicente Gandía celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its iconic wine with a special edition. The oenologist and technical director of the winery, Luis García Severino, created Ceremonia in 1998. A blend of selected varieties that was a pioneer in terms of quality Valencian wine in the Utiel-Requena denomination of origin. A signature red wine that became part of the cellar of the restaurant “El Bulli”.
Now, the winery wants to renew its packaging and represent the Mediterranean philosophy of tradition and innovation that has been shown in each of its most recent projects. A design made by the internal design department of the winery that transmits simplicity and elegance to the consumer.
This restyling conveys a new attraction to the brand. It provides an intangible value that reveals the company’s own qualities.
This Valencian wine continues to maintain its essence, it is an exquisite combination of the noble varieties Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon with the native Bobal. These grapes come from selected lands of the Hoya de Cadenas Estate, an enological paradise in which the combination of limestone-clayey soils and the contrasts of summer temperature, combined with hot days and cool nights, make it ideal for obtaining a wine of intense aromas and excellent concentration.
Ceremonia Reserva de Autor stands out for its ripe cherry colour. It has mineral aromas and pronounced traits of red and black fruits on a spicy background of well-assembled woods. The palate offers a classic character, with tannins and wooden notes showing a modern, fleshy and fruity air. It is an ideal accompaniment to cheeses, red meats and game.
This wine is the perfect combination between the wine tradition in the Gandia family and innovation towards new trends. Gather the virtues of great wines. This blend is carried out in stainless steel tanks, controlling the temperature at 25ºC, and a maceration period of 14 days in contact with skins. The ageing takes place in American oak barrels from Missouri for the first, second and third years for 12 months. Later, the wine is refined in the bottle for 18 months to obtain a complex, elegant and wide-ranging wine.
The winery continues to surprise its consumers, in this case the most loyal, but with this change of image Vicente Gandía aims to bring this classic wine to a younger audience. Ceremonia is the classic that never fails.
