Clos de Gallur and Vicente Gandia Bobal Rosa by Pepe Hidalgo have received more than 90 points
The official results of the Decanter World Wine Awards 2023 reveal the excellent quality of DO Valencia wines, awarding two wines from Bodegas Vicente Gandia with high scores.
In this twentieth edition of the contest, Bodegas Vicente Gandia has stood out with its high expression wines. Since the creation of this competition, they have consolidated their position as the largest and most influential wine competition in the world, renowned for their rigorous judging process.

Clos de Gallur is one of the winery’s high expression wines and has achieved 90 points in this contest. This red wine stands out for its ruby red with reflections of the same color. High intensity of ripe red fruit with excellent complexity and a delicate memory of new oak wood. Fleshy, with very polished tannins. Round, elegant and with a very long finish.
Vicente Gandia Bobal Rosa by Pepe Hidalgo has been awarded 91 points. It has become one of the winery’s most iconic wines and already competes without any complexes with great references of world-renowned wines. This rosé wine has a very pale pink color with copper reflections. On the nose it expresses delicate aromas of rose, red fruit and grapefruit. On the palate it is agile, fresh and on the palate very friendly and unctuous.
Both wines have been created by Pepe Hidalgo, the prestigious winemaker and technical director of Bodegas Vicente Gandia. Since its arrival at the winery, approximately 3 years ago, the company has opted to create new references of high expression and thus be able to satisfy the needs of the most gourmet public. This new strategy is giving them great joy and the wines are receiving high scores in the most prestigious wine competitions.
