Decanter and Verema elevate the winemaking project of Bodegas Vicente Gandía.

The Valencian winery places two of its wines among the best in Spain.

Vicente Gandía Bobal Dulce obtains a Grand Gold medal in the Verema Vino Varietal competition and Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc obtains 90 points in the Decanter World Wine Awards. Both recognitions position these wines among the best in Spain in their categories. The two competitions are among the most prestigious in the sector due to the rigor and demand of their juries who rate the wines after tasting them blind. Both juries are made up of expert sommeliers, specialized journalists, oenologists and professional tasters.

Five years ago, Bodegas Vicente Gandía decided to bet heavily on achieving a high level of positioning through the production of ultra-premium wines, taking great care of the production and giving value to the terroir, the grape variety and the production method. A good example of this are the two award-winning wines.

Vicente Gandía Bobal Dulce is a pale pink wine with slightly salmon tones, clean and bright. On the nose, notes of ripe and concentrated strawberry emerge that intertwine between hints of apple, citrus and a slightly floral finish, all with immense intensity. As it passes through the mouth it fills it completely, marking a great balance between the concentration of its natural sugar and the freshness of a perfectly marked acidity that makes it sweet, eternal and very elegant. With this wine, Bodegas Vicente Gandía innovates again as it is the first wine of this style made with Bobal variety grapes.

Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc fermented in barrels and aged in vats, an elegant white wine, with aromas of ripe and citrus tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple, herbaceous aromas such as fresh hay and spices such as pepper and elderberry. Very good unctuous depth and a sweet, floral-oriented side. In the mouth it is lively with good citric acidity and fine exotic smokiness.

With these recognitions, Bodegas Vicente Gandía once again manages to position Valencian wines, specifically from the Utiel Requena Designation of Origin, among the best in Spain.
