The Valencian winery celebrates 50 years of experience with its Castillo de Liria brand and is recognized by Gastrocope
After two hard years for the sector, the radio program that is a benchmark in gastronomy and tourism wanted to show its support by celebrating the third edition of the GASTROCOPE Awards.
These GASTROCOPE awards aim to recognize and value the products and professionals related to the world of gastronomy and tourism found in the province of Valencia.
In this edition, Mr. José María Gandia, president of Bodegas Vicente Gandia, has received recognition for the 50 years of the Castillo de Liria brand. José María was the promoter of the brand in 1971 since he was the first to bottle and market wine in Valencia. This is how Castillo de Liria was born, the oldest brand of Valencian wines.
Castillo de Liria, fifty years later, is still an icon for a company that has managed to have a presence in 90 countries and be the largest winery in the Valencian Community.
The Castillo de Liria brand has evolved over its 50 years of existence and is surely the most internationally recognized Valencian wine brand with the most bottles sold. It has a presence in more than 60 countries and continues to be recognized for offering an unbeatable price-quality ratio. Gastrocope’s recognition highlights the career of Mr. José María Gandía at the head of the winery that gave birth to Castillo de Liria 50 years ago, a brand that marked the development of Valencian wine.
