This launch represents a range extension in the oldest wine brand in the Valencian Community

Castillo de Liria expands its offer with a Blanc de Blancs Brut made with the white varieties Macabeo and Chardonnay grown at Finca Hoya de Cadenas, property of Bodegas Vicente Gandía. Castillo de Liria, the leading brand of Valencian wines with more than 50 years of experience in the market and international presence in more than 60 countries, continues to be one of the main brands for Bodegas Vicente Gandía, which now incorporates this sparkling wine reference to the already existing on the market.

Castillo de Liria Blanc de Blancs has been made by gently pressing the grapes. It stands out for its fine and elegant bubble. Pale yellow in color with golden tones and a nose of white fruit, flowers and notes of pastries. In the mouth it has a good acidity that balances with very elegant bitters and a persistent finish.

The Valencian winery continues to surprise and innovate within the sector. It remains faithful to its history and values ​​established over the years, but always taking into account one of the main focuses, the consumers. This new reference opens the way to new joys for the company both nationally and internationally.

How was Castillo de Liria born?

This brand was born in 1971 when Mr. José María Gandía Perales wanted to go one step further and had the brilliant idea of ​​producing bottled and branded wine to offer greater added value to his customers. To do this he had to convince his father Mr. José María Gandía Ferri who at that time was not very into the work and told his son “You are crazy José, you are crazy.”

After a lot of work and effort, Mr. José María Gandía Perales managed to introduce this brand in many points of sale. In the end the story had a happy ending and 52 years later Castillo de Liria is the brand that has sold the most bottles of wine from the Valencia Protected Designation of Origin in its entire history and with an international presence in more than 60 countries, it is probably a of the most recognized Spanish wine brands in the world.

Castillo de Liria was a milestone at that time. It was the brand that revolutionized Valencian wine, a paradigm shifts within the sector. Thanks to this, Valencian wines in general were promoted and given value, proof of this is that every day this DOP is better positioned and enjoys better prestige at an international level.
