Recognition of the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
Bodegas Vicente Gandia has registered its carbon footprint for the years 2020 and 2021 for the activities carried out in the Chiva facilities (Scope 1+2) in the Carbon Footprint Registry, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and has obtained the distinction that accredits it.
This distinction is a recognition of the winery’s effort in calculating and defining a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by the activity.
With the implementation of this 2020-2024 reduction plan, the aim is to achieve a footprint reduction of 26% in relative terms, compared to the base year (2020), by increasing the use of renewable energies and energy efficiency measures.
This action is part of the winery’s sustainability strategy (VG Impulse Program), in the field of environmental protection and the fight against climate change, and is aligned with the sustainable development goals and the 2030 Agenda.
