The new Vicente Gandia’s bobal wines rated with more than 90 points

The two new wines from Vicente Gandia winery receive very good scores from ADN Verema Guide

Vicente Gandía Bobal Blanco by Pepe Hidalgo and Vicente Gandía Bobal Negro by Pepe Hidalgo receive 90 and 92 points respectively in the ADN Verema Wine Guide. Both wines are the first project carried out entirely by Pepe Hidalgo, Technical Director of the winery. Hidalgo comes from a long line of winemakers and has extensive experience in maximizing the quality of Bobal, the native variety of the Utiel–Requena appellation of origin.

Vicente Gandia Bobal Blanco is pale yellow with a reddish hue. Aromas of wild strawberries, white flowers and ripe fruit. On the palate, it has a well-balanced acidity with a refreshing long finish reminiscent of fruits of the forest.

Vicente Gandia Bobal Negro has an intense red colour and purple rim. Aromas of rich red fruits and English caramel with slight smoky notes. On the palate it well rounded and full, finishing with light notes of oak from its barrel ageing.

The ADN Verema 2021 Wine Guide goes on the market for the second consecutive year. A guide that reflects the tastes and opinions of the national wine sector according to Verema users who, year after year, leave their comments and tasting notes on its website.

With its almost 700 wines tasted and valued with a score equal to or greater than 90 points (8.0), it becomes the only wine guide created by professionals in the sector (sommeliers, oenologists, specialized press, etc.) professors of oenology and viticulture, fans and consumers through our tasting panels and the opinions expressed on our website, thus reflecting the trends and opinions of Verema consumers and users.

Through this guide, Verema wants to thank all those users and foreros for their time and dedication to provide additional help to other wine consumers when making the best purchase decisions.
