Bodegas Vicente Gandía is committed to the Environment

The Valencian winery obtains the ISO 14001 Certification, a serious commitment with the environmental protection

Bodegas Vicente Gandía has been committing to protecting the environment for years, working so that its wines are the result of sustainable action in all aspects of their life cycle.Due to their constant effort and dedication, they have obtained the ISO 14001 Certificate that confirms that the protection and care of the Environment are fully embedded in the philosophy of the winery’s activity.

A certificate that guarantees a Corporate Social Responsibility committed to the Environment. An international standard for environmental management systems (EMS), which enables your organization to identify, prioritize and manage environmental risks.

The winery uses totally sustainable viticulture practices that are very careful with the vineyard, such as green pruning and restricted irrigation. In addition, it has invested in the installation of treatment plants to be much more efficient in managing water use.

The ISO 14001 certificate is a clear example of Bodegas Vicente Gandia’s commitment to corporate social responsibility by adapting the business methodology to this wonderful model.

About Bodegas Vicente Gandia

Bodegas Vicente Gandía, winegrowers since 1885, is the main winery in the Valencian Community. The winery is currently run by the 4th generation of the Gandía family, it has an international presence in more than 90 markets and produces great wines in the main Spanish denominations of origin. It has 350 hectares of its own vineyard, mainly in the Hoya de Cadenas Estate where it cultivates a selection of the most internationally recognized varieties along with the most representative at the autochthonous level such as Bobal.

The high quality of its wines and the good scores obtained in the various international competitions, made it possible for the winery to be included among the first 50 wineries worldwide in a ranking prepared by the World Association of Journalists in the wine sector. Also, in 2018, the European Congress of Enogastronomic Brotherhoods (CEUCO) awarded the “Aurum Europa Excellente” Prize to Vicente Gandía as “Best European Winery”.
