Hoya de Cadenas

Bodegas Vicente Gandía updates the Hoya de Cadenas range’s image

The Valencian winery unveils the new, fresher and more contemporary labelling of one of its most representative ranges of wines

Finca Hoya de Cadenas, with a history of more than 200 years, is an oenological paradise owned by Bodegas Vicente Gandía. The estate covers an area of some 300 hectares that are home to the best grape varieties with which the winery produces its best wines. It is located 800 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Sierra de la Bicuerca, specifically in the Cuevas de Utiel about 100 km inland from the province of Valencia. The combination of the Mediterranean and Continental climate of the area, which causes a great thermal amplitude, is ideal to create high quality wines.

The terroir of the Hoya de Cadenas Estate vineyards is clayey-calcareous and offers the best conditions for high quality viticulture. The estate enjoys a particular microclimate in which the temperature fluctuations between day and night give the grapes their own characteristics and facilitate the accumulation of the highly prized polyphenols.

From this magnificent estate comes theHoya de Cadenas wine range, which is made up of a classic line of three wines, six single-varietal wines and five high quality cavas. A range that has a long history in the market with approximately 25 years of experience and is currently present in more than 40 countries. Throughout this journey, Hoya de Cadena has achieved stupendous prestige and has become a benchmark in the wine sector, standing out for its unbeatable value for money. On two consecutive occasions, Hoya de Cadenas Reserva Tempranillo has won the “Supervino del Año” award for being the best rated wine in the “Los Supervinos” Guide, the guide to supermarket wines that rates them according to their value for money.

The winery has decided to update the image of Hoya de Cadenas, but always maintaining the great quality of its products and the history that surrounds them. The main element of identity is the vineyard, as it is the space where the winery dedicates its greatest effort to create these great wines. The illustration that decorates the new labels reflects the unique orography of the landscape of the Sierra de la Bicuerca with its gentle undulations of the terrain where the different vineyards owned by Bodegas Vicente Gandía in the Hoya de Cadenas Estate are located. A natural mosaic that highlights the uniqueness of this oenological paradise.

A new fresh and modern image that conveys tradition, history, human effort and the care taken in the vineyard. In short, the perseverance of the daily work to achieve excellence in the product, but adapted to the new visual identity codes demanded by today’s consumers.
