Bodegas Vicente Gandia has achieved to be ranked at Socially Responsible Valencian Entities, being the first winery to be qualified in this registry.
The Registry of Socially Responsible Valencian Entities or SIR Registry, created by the Law 18/2018, of July 13th, of the “Generalitat Valenciana”, for the promotion of Social Responsibility, and developed in Decree 200/2022, of November 25th, of the “Consell”, which regulates Social Responsibility in Valencian entities, is a public and administrative registry.
This qualification is visible throughout the European Union in the consultation system of the Spanish Association of Property, Mercantile and Movable Property Registry.
In order to obtain the registration, Bodegas Vicente Gandia had to pass a minimum score in the self-assessment tool that includes different aspects of sustainability (social, economic, environmental and governance), prepare a sustainability report and pass an external social audit to verify the information reported.
With this registration, the winery aims to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility, form part of sustainable value chains, obtain better access to financing and anticipate the regulatory impact in the areas of finance, compliance and governance.
This achievement has been made possible by the path initiated with the IMPULSE plan presented in 2021, in which the winery defined the roadmap for progress in sustainability, the results and progress of which are shown in the annual sustainability reports.
